Given that there's been radio silence about this project for so long, it's hard to imagine that anyone will read this, but I'm putting it up here anyway. I'm not sending it as a news email or a kickstarter update because it's not the sort of thing that subscribers or backers will be excited to hear.
Brewkessel is no longer available for purchase. When I first created it, it felt like an compellingly queer pastiche of a media property that was on its way out of the spotlight (not to mention that at the time, I identified as an ally but not as a trans person myself). As time has passed, not only has that property re-entered relevance, but its creator has continued to get worse and worse about how she uses her money to harm people like me. As such, it has been difficult to motivate myself to continue work on it, and recently I've realized that I no longer believe that a product like Brewkessel should be available. For a while, I justified to myself that, because the money from it went directly into the pocket of a trans woman, it was okay, but it has felt more and more like my own tiny, personal contribution to the parodied property's cultural relevance.
That being said, I also believe that if you paid for it, then I shouldn't be able to take it from you, so the itch.io page should still be up for those who already own it.
